Over 4,000 without power in Madison County due to storms

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Huntsville Utilities says over 4,000 people are without power after storms moved through Madison County Wednesday.

HU said 4,249 customers are without power after what it called a severe storm system moved through Wednesday Afternoon.

The company said that crews have been dispatched to restore power throughout the county and are working to get the power back on as quickly and safely as the weather allows.

HU reminded customers not to approach or drive over downed power lines or attempt to remove trees, limbs or other debris from power lines…
