Indiana man arrested following child exploitation investigation in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A child exploitation case in Marshall County has led to the arrest of an Indiana man.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office said that an investigation began after authorities received a report that a man had been talking to the child through social media.

MCSO said that the man identified as Joel Duron-Esparza, 21, of Middlebury, Indiana, traveled to Guntersville on May 1 and met the victim at a short-term rental property. The victim later told authorities that she had been harmed…
