GURLEY, Ala. (WAFF) – Huntsville is moving forward with plans to add railroad crossing gates at Salty Bottom Road near Gurley after a son and granddaughter were killed at the crossing in May.
Johnny Davis learned of the city’s plans in a phone call from Huntsville City Councilwoman Michelle Watkins, who told him gates for the crossing were now on the books and would be installed later this year.
