HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A change in the weather is coming this week with our big heat wave finally breaking. A cold front nudging into the area over the next few days will bring temperatures back closer to average for this time of year. We’ll also pick up some showers and storms along the way early in the week.
For today look for a mix of clouds and sunshine. Some scattered showers and storms are expected for the afternoon. A few storms could be strong with gusty wind, heavy rain and lightning. Temperatures will still be hot, but not as hot as we saw over the weekend. Look for highs in the low to mid 90s.
A few evening storms are possible, otherwise we’ll be partly cloudy overnight with lows in the upper 60s…
