HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Drivers on Memorial Parkway can now travel through Mastin Lake Road without stopping, as Gov. Kay Ivey announced Thursday the mainline and overpass is fully open to traffic.
The opening marks the end of a three-year construction project aimed at easing congestion in one of Huntsville’s busiest corridors.
What drivers can expect
The overpass is the centerpiece of a $34 million project to extend the Memorial Parkway expressway and improve traffic flow at Mastin Lake Road.
