Hunter Pepper blocks vote on proposed ordinance to regulate demonstrations

DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) – Decatur City Councilman Hunter Pepper has delayed a newly proposed parade ordinance on Monday. According to WAFF’s newspaper partner, The Decatur Daily, Decatur’s City Council is considering the ordinance in response to the numerous demonstrations following the officer-involved shooting death of Steve Perkins on Sept. 29 – including in front of Mayor Tab Bowling’s house.
