Governor Kay Ivey signed a proclamation to set special election dates for Alabama House District 27, which includes the areas of Arab, Guntersville, Union Grove and Grant. Wes Kitchens, who had held the position since 2018, now serves in the Alabama Senate in District 9, having won the seat on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 previously held by Clay Scofield.
