HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) says one person was taken to the hospital after a wreck near the Holiday Inn on University Drive.
HPD said the single-vehicle accident happened near the hotel at University Drive and Research Park Boulevard. According to the department, one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Huntsville Utilities (HU) said it also working to restore power after an outage in the area. The utility company said the outage, which is affecting 188 customers, was caused by a vehicle driving over electrical equipment.
HU said they do not have an estimated time of restoration at this time.
