Crimestoppers is investigating a man who tried to buy a gift card at Dollar Tree in Huntsville with a counterfeit $100 bill. His photo was captured on the store surveillance camera. Two Florida men also were caught in Foley with fake $100 bills at Tanger Mall.
Man Tried to Pay with Fake $100 Bill at Dollar Tree
WAFF 48 News reported on Wednesday that a man went into the Dollar Tree on Whitesburg Drive in Huntsville and tried to buy a $15 gift card with a fake $100 bill. The cashier was looking over the fake $100 when the man “took off.”
Huntsville Police confirmed that the $100 bill was fake and are looking for the man seen in the picture below.

If you can identify the man in the photo, authorities ask that you submit a tip online or by phone to Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers at (256) 532-7463. This program offers “cash rewards up to $1,000 to citizens who furnish information leading to the arrest of felony crime offenders.”
