Young bull riders talk competition at this weekend’s rodeo

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The rodeo is coming to Huntsville as the Southeastern Ultimate Bullriding rodeo is in town this weekend.

There will be traditional bull riding as well as competition for younger riders.

“My adrenaline’s pumpin and I’m ready to go and hold on for dear life,” said Preston Henderson. “I’m just trying to do everything I can to stay on.”

Henderson has been riding for two and a half years.

“I watched the movie ‘Eight Seconds,’ its a bull riding movie, a lot, and I really liked the idea of it,” he said. “And so I begged my mom for years and years, and she finally let me do it.”

Friday is his first time competing in Huntsville, but it certainly won’t be his last.

“My dream is to get better and better every day, and then hopefully one day I can go to the PBR and become a PBR world champion.”

Jamison Fresh, also known as “little fresh” in the arena, is taking the stage as well.
