HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – South Star Music Festival kicked off at John Hunt Park on Saturday afternoon for Day 1 of the inaugural event. However, officials with the festival say due to Saturday’s foot traffic causing “severe deterioration of the grounds” from Hurricane Helene they have decided to cancel today’s festival.
