HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The South Huntsville community met with city leaders Wednesday night to hear updates on the $500 million in current and continued development coming to the Hays Farm area.

The Hays Farm master plan will dramatically change the face of the area. A new community park that’ll resemble downtown’s Big Spring Park, more apartments, and a large mixed-use development are all in the works.
The Market at Hays Farm is one of the most significant projects that’s already been completed. South Huntsville residents like Richard Davidson-Jenkins say he couldn’t be more excited.
“You want to be in this area, you want buy a new home in this beautiful community with all the beautiful people,” Davidson-Jenkins said. “We know that more is coming and with more coming, we can’t wait to see all the new development that will be here.”
