Lanes reopened after deadly accident on Highway 31 in Decatur caused delays

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — A deadly morning wreck caused part of Highway 31 in Decatur to be closed Monday.

Around 9:37 a.m., the Decatur Police Department said all lanes were reopened for traffic.

Morgan County 911 posted on Facebook that there was a wreck between a motorcycle and a vehicle on Highway 31 at Lenwood Road by the Fuel City.

The Morgan County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) also posted on Facebook saying the accident had killed someone.

Morgan County EMA said Highway 31 southbound lanes just north of Lenwood would be closed for a few hours because of the deadly wreck.
