At the beginning of this year, North Alabama installed its first Safe Haven Baby Box, a way for women to safely surrender their baby anonymously. Now, ten months later, North Alabama will be home to four of the state’s 11 baby boxes, with the two newest boxes set to be blessed Tuesday.
