Jordan Peterson coming to Alabama in 2025 as part of ‘We Who Wrestle With God’ tour

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Jordan Peterson, the Canadian clinical psychologist whose views on a variety of topics in the culture wars have brought him both praise and scorn, will come to Alabama next March as part of a world tour to promote an upcoming book.

Peterson, who first came to the international stage in 2016 for his criticism of a Canadian law that would add both gender identity and expression as protected speech and parlayed that notoriety into books, podcasts and lectures covering everything from religion to literature, psychology and even climate change, will make stops in Huntsville and Birmingham next year on the heels of his newest book, “We Who Wrestle With God,” which will be released on Nov. 19.

Peterson will come to the Von Braun Center in Huntsville on March 17 and Birmingham’s BJCC on March 18.

Formerly a professor at universities like Harvard University and the University of Toronto, Peterson’s two latest books, “12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos” and “Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life,” have both been New York Times bestsellers and his interviews and lectures on YouTube have garnered millions of views. He currently has a podcast through The Daily Wire, an unaccredited online school–the Peterson Academy– and is chancellor of the unaccredited liberal arts school Ralston College in Savannah, Georgia dedicated to “freedom of thought and speech.”
