Lauderdale County man issued over $1M bond for trafficking, reckless endangerment charges

PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A Lauderdale County man was arrested after a traffic stop that happened on Friday night.

According to the Priceville Police Department, officers pulled a vehicle over along I-65 SB for following another vehicle too closely around 7 p.m.

During the traffic stop, officers noticed several factors that led them to believe that the driver was involved in criminal activity.

A search of the vehicle led to officers finding a quantity of blue colored methamphetamine pressed Xanax pills, a quantity of chalk-like powder identified as fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia.

PPD said that Markale Mantille Stinnett, 27, of Rogersville, was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Additionally, Stinnett was charged with reckless endangerment due to having his two children in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop. PPD added that the children were released to other legal guardians and that the Department of Human Resources would be notified.
