Burglary of storage units leads to four arrested in Limestone County

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. ( WHNT ) — Four people have been arrested after breaking into storage units in Limestone County

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies responded to reports of a burglary at storage units in the 25000 block of Nick Davis Road on Sunday, December 29.

After reviewing security video, deputies were made aware of two suspects.

LCSO said that the suspects stole a vehicle from a local church and placed a “switched” tag on it.

Shortly after deputies left the scene of the incident, a woman driving the same car and wearing the same clothes as she was when captured on security camera returned to the scene.

According to LCSO, the property manager then contacted authorities to make them aware that the woman had came back.

Deputies close to the area quickly responded to the scene again and were able to take Dana Belinda Helms, 56, of Athens into custody. Authorities said that Helms had marijuana and stolen property in her possession at the time of her arrest.
