DECATUR, Ala. — The Decatur Police Department held a comprehensive physical agility test this morning as part of its latest recruitment effort, pushing applicants with a series of physical exercises.
Candidates began the mental portion of the exam with a writing assessment at approximately 8 a.m. before proceeding to the shooting range around 9:30 a.m. The physical tests included pushing police vehicles, scaling walls, and dragging life-sized weighted dummies, all before completing a mile-and-a-half run to finish off the morning.
