Mother speaks out after teen daughter found dead in Elkmont home

ELKMONT, Ala. (WAFF) – Ashley Bochnia, Ava Bochnia’s mother, told WAFF that Ava was a teacher’s pet, she was funny, and loved to crochet. But after a car accident two years ago, Ava began to struggle with addiction.

Ashley said Ava had been in and out of rehab for fentanyl usage.

She said Ava was doing much better and had checked out of rehab just days before she disappeared…
