Woman accused of hitting stopped Somerville Police cruiser, charged with DUI

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A woman was arrested Monday night after she hit a stopped police cruiser, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to the sheriff’s office, a Somerville Police officer had stopped a vehicle in the area of Highway 36/37.

While stopped, another vehicle on the road hit the police cruiser. MCSO said the officer was uninjured.

A deputy in the area found the vehicle on Highway 36 near Antioch Road and attempted a traffic stop. The driver eventually stopped near Union Hill Road and Florrette Road in Cotaco…
