Athens Police say there are getting reports of trees down along with utility poles and utility lines across parts of Athens blocking some roads as storms moved through the area on Tuesday.
Athens Police say utility lines are down in these areas:
- Lucas Ferry Road between Brownsferry Street and U.S. 72 closed because of multiple broken utility poles.
- Portions of Sanderfer block; multiple utility lines down.
- One lane of U.S. 31 south of U.S. 72 blocked by fallen tree
- Water over roadways in several areas.
