HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Downtown Huntsville welcomed its newest culinary destination Monday as One Eleven, an upscale eclectic restaurant and cocktail bar, opened its doors for a soft opening at 111 Washington Street.
The restaurant has transformed the space formerly occupied by the iconic Heritage Club into what owners describe as a “warm, inviting space that you won’t want to leave.” The establishment officially opened for limited service this week, with its grand opening celebration scheduled for June 9.
One Eleven draws its name from its historic address, embracing nearly a century of Huntsville history within its walls. The building has served as a gathering place for locals throughout the decades, beginning as a barbershop in the 1930s before becoming the Ritz Café, which operated for nearly 40 years.
