Fyffe man convicted on child exploitation charges

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Marshall County District Attorney’s Office says a man was convicted on two child exploitation charges.

The DA’s office said after a two-day trial, Mario Antonio Rocha-Placensia was convicted of traveling to meet someone he believed to be a child for an illegal sex act and electronic solicitation of someone he believed to be a child.

Rocha-Placensia was arrested along with four other men on Feb. 24, 2024, during an undercover sting operation in Albertville. That sting operation was done by the district attorney’s office along with the Albertville Police Department in conjunction with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall County Drug Task Force and the Covenant Rescue Group…
