Red-hot Alabama rock act adds home-state amphitheater show

A breakout Alabama rock act has added some dates to its 2025 tour plans, including a new stop at an amphitheater in its home state.

The Red Clay Strays, formed around 2016 in the Mobile area, broke out to national notice in 2024; highlights included a date opening for the Rolling Stones, the release of a new album on RCA, a three-night stand at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and a CMA nomination.

More recently, band members got a call from Miranda Lambert letting them know they’d won the Academy of Country Music award for New Duo or Group of the Year. (Though the band’s rootsy sound draws on country influences, members say it’s better classed as a rock band.)…
