As summer temperatures rise, energy bills often follow suit, but a state-funded Weatherization Assistance Program offers relief for residents in North Alabama. The Community Action Partnership of North Alabama says this program can save residents between $200 and $600 annually on utility bills by improving home energy efficiency.
“I know immediately I saved $200 off my first bill,” said Ambra Johnson from Decatur, who applied for the program in 2021.
