OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. (WAFF) – City leaders in Huntsville voted to raise sewer rates Thursday to fund facility improvements to keep up with growth in the city. The need for more infrastructure is also starting to impact surrounding cities.
The city of Owens Cross Roads was utilizing Huntsville’s sewer treatment facilities.
When Huntsville needed to end that agreement due to its own needs, it left Owens Cross Roads with a facility not large enough to handle its population…
