HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Classrooms in Alabama could look different this fall. That’s because a new state law is now in effect, giving teachers up to eight weeks of paid parental leave.
Starting Tuesday, expecting mothers who are teachers or other state employees are eligible for up to eight weeks of paid leave. Dads who are expecting will get two weeks.
