With temperatures nipping at 100 degrees, it seems the Dog Days of Summer are here, which means the Veterinary Treatment Facility expects to see a few more dogs – and cats – walking through their door.
The Alabama heat takes a toll on dogs in the summer, says Sgt. Shaniah Bethley, animal care NCO at the facility, who was at Fort Rucker until three weeks ago when she transferred to Redstone.
