FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – An Athens woman is facing a first-degree theft charge after she attempted to steal a vehicle in Florence.
According to the Florence Police Department, officers responded to an attempted vehicle theft at the Sonic on Helton Drive on Wednesday. The victim told officers that she saw the suspect inside her vehicle and backing it up.
FPD said that as White was backing up, the victim “jumped in through the driver window” and got the vehicle in park. White got out and began hitting the victim until employees came outside to stop her…
