An Athens man was arrested Friday after police say he ran from their K-9 unit in Falkville.
According to the Falkville Police Department, after a short pursuit, the man decided to stop and officers discovered the following during a probable cause search:
- A quantity of methamphetamine
- Multiple drug paraphernalia items including baggies for sale and glass smoking pipes.
- More than $6,000 in cash
- Two firearms
Thirty-year-old Benjamin Stinnett was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute and attempting to elude law enforcement.
