PokéFest draws thousands of fans to Huntsville for weekend of nostalgia

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Downtown Huntsville was a haven for Pokémon fans this weekend as more than 4,000 people attended PokéFest, a growing event dedicated to the beloved franchise of trading cards, games and animated adventures.

Whether they came for Pikachu or rare collectible cards, attendees of all ages united over a shared passion that continues to bridge generations.

“It’s actually really cool. I’ve never been to a Pokémon convention before and this is my first time so this is an awesome experience for anyone who loves Pokémon like I do,” said Ashlin Cobb, a PokéFest employee…
