Madison’s K9 unit celebrates National Hot Dog Day with a live demonstration

MADISON, Ala. — In honor of National Hot Dog Day, the Madison Police Department is hosting a live K9 Unit demonstration on Wednesday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to noon on the front lawn of Madison City Hall.

Visitors can watch the department’s highly trained police dogs showcase their obedience, detection, and apprehension skills in an exciting, family-friendly event. Hot dogs will be served, adding a tasty treat to the action-packed morning.

City officials, community members, and families are invited to come out to 100 Hughes Road, meet the K9 officers and their handlers, and learn more about the vital role these dogs play in keeping Madison safe…
