HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A Heat Advisory is in effect through 8:00 PM CDT for most of North Alabama and Middle Tennessee. The heat index will range from 100 to 107 degrees during the late morning and afternoon, heat safety and hydration will be important today. Scattered to numerous downpours and thunderstorms are going to develop as early as noon and continue through the early evening. Locally heavy rainfall, brief gusty winds and frequent lightning are possible with any storms.
Skies stay mostly clear to partly cloudy overnight with morning lows staying warm in the middle 70s, patchy fog is expected by daybreak.
