Your Wellbeing: Impacts of sitting for work 40 hours a week

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Millions of Americans work in an office setting, meaning they may not have many opportunities to get up and move around during the day.

Dr. Duncan Bralts, a physiatrist with Huntsville Hospital’s Spine and Neuro Center, said a sedentary work setting can eventually lead to chronic pain.

“It can make you more prone to sitting-based injuries, more prone to chronic venous insufficiency and chronic arterial insufficiency,” he said…
