Huntsville driver faces charges after motorcycle crash leaves rider injured

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A Huntsville man is behind bars following a motorcycle crash that left a rider seriously injured on Thursday night, July 24.

Huntsville Police report that around 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident at the intersection of Mountain Gap Road and Memorial Parkway. Authorities say the motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries after being struck by another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle, however, fled the scene.

After searching the area, officers found a parked vehicle on Branscomb Circle. They identified Vladimir Andres Morales, 52, of Huntsville, standing near the vehicle in the front yard of a nearby home. Morales was taken into custody for questioning…
