State Representative Anthony Daniels named to Veterans Resource Center Board

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Governor Ivey appointed 11 leaders in the state to the Alabama Veterans Resource Center Board, and one representative from North Alabama was named.

State Representative Anthony Daniels (D-Huntsville), also the House Minority Leader, is one of the chosen 11.

The board’s primary function is to build a new veteran resource hub in Montgomery to support the veterans and their families across the state. The board will help in deciding a variety of services the hub looks to offer, ranging from areas focused on mental health to career success to navigating VA benefits and aid.

Rep. Daniels said having a large number of veterans in North Alabama has made him privy to some issues they face and where they need government resources to improve. He said he looks forward to fostering more conversations with the military community and cultivating statewide solutions…
