$300 million Huntsville development to start showing progress in 2026

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Construction on Huntsville’s much-anticipated pedestrian skybridge will begin in 2026, city officials said, months after work to widen Pinhook Creek gets underway, FOX54 has learned.

The multimillion-dollar skybridge will span Memorial Parkway and Governors Drive as part of a master development project along Pinhook Creek in west Huntsville. While Phase One — the widening of the creek — should still happen this year, bridge work will wait until the turn of the calendar.
