ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT) — A Limestone County judge is sending the capital murder case of Morgan Skye Thornton to a grand jury following a Thursday morning hearing that included grim details on the violent death of an infant.
Thornton, 35, of Athens, is charged with killing her infant son on Aug. 1. She will remain in jail, as the court denied bond for her.
During Thursday’s hearing, an investigator with the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office testified they found blood on a wall near the crib in the child’s room and in a diaper pail. Testimony also noted there was bruising on the child’s legs, consistent with the baby being held upside down…
