LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. — Progress is being made on the new $30 million Electric Vehicle (EV) Training Center in south Limestone County, according to a construction update Friday from State Sen. Arthur Orr. The state-of-the-art facility, operated by Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT), is on track to become a critical asset for Alabama’s automotive industry as it focuses more on electrification.
In a video showcasing the active construction site, Orr, who sponsored the legislation that funded the project, called the center a future “jobs magnet.” He emphasized its importance as a “huge addition” to the state’s Robotics Technology Park.
