Loretto Man Arrested in Child Exploitation Operation

A Loretto man was arrested Aug. 19 in connection with an undercover child exploitation investigation conducted by the Special Operations Unit of the Limestone County (Ala.) Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).

According to LCSO, Loretto resident James Mark Eddy, 54, was arrested on charges of transmitting obscene material to a child by computer, as well as electronic solicitation of a child.

During the operation, Eddy allegedly made contact with a person he believed to be a male juvenile, but who was actually a trained investigator. Eddy is said to have transmitted “obscene and sexually explicit material and solicited child sexual abuse material.”…
