LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office said that a woman is in custody following a Sunday night shooting in Tanner.
LCSO said that deputies responded to a home on Stewart Road around 9 p.m. on Sunday. Following an investigation, it was determined that the suspect, 40-year-old Lakeshia Renee Peoples, had shot another person during a fight and then fled the scene before deputies arrived.

The victim was airlifted to the hospital for treatment. LCSO said their condition is currently unknown.
The sheriff’s office stated that their investigation resulted in a search warrant being issued for a home on Arbor Ridge in Madison. Around 10 a.m. on Monday, deputies searched the home and Peoples inside. She was arrested without incident…
