MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A K9 Training Advisor and a deputy is set to retire at the end of August.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office issued the following statement regarding K9 Training Advisor, Deputy Craig Wells upcoming retirement:
“Deputy Wells has been a cornerstone of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Canine Program since its very beginning. Quiet and humble by nature, he’s never sought attention for himself, but instead has poured his heart into the men, women, and canines he has trained and supported over the years. His steady hand and wealth of knowledge have shaped countless K9s that have served this agency and, more importantly, the deputies who have worked beside them. Craig’s impact can’t be measured in words alone, it lives on in every successful track, every search, and every life protected by the K9s he helped bring up and the men and women who continue to carry on his legacy today.”…
