Man arrested for threatening to murder Madison County Judge

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on Tuesday for making a terrorist threat against an elected official, jail records show.

Cyrus Baptist Bachelder Jr. was booked into the Madison County Jail on September 3. His charge was listed as first-degree making a terrorist threat.

Court records show that on or about August 6, Bachelder is accused of making a threat against an elected official. Documents state that he threatened to “murder Judge Claude Hundley.”

His bond is currently set at $15,000, and court records show that he is set for a felon examination on September 23…
