2 wanted for assaulting clerk, robbing Decatur business in August arrested

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — The Decatur Police Department told News 19 that two people wanted for their role in a robbery and assault last month were arrested.

Morgan County Jail records show that around 11:14 p.m. Wednesday, DPD said Madison Leondria Gordon and Elbert Junior Anderson turned themselves in on their second-degree robbery warrants. The department told News 19 their warrants were related to an incident on August 20.

Gordon and Anderson were identified as two of four suspects accused of assaulting a clerk at Sunoco on Beltline Road and taking several items.

A short time after the suspects were identified, two of the suspects, Devante Jaquan Taylor and Jada Nicole Kidd, were found back at the business and taken into custody. The pair was transported to DPD, where they were each charged with one count of second-degree robbery.

Taylor was booked into the Morgan County Jail on a $25,000 bond and Kidd was booked on a $35,000 bond…
