Prescription drug operation leads to man arrested, over $45,000 worth of medication recovered

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A four-month-long prescription drug operation has led to a man being arrested and over $45,000 worth of prescription medication has been recovered.

Huntsville Police said that the extended investigation paid off on Tuesday, when HPD’s Anti-Crime Team ended the operation that was taking place across Huntsville and throughout Madison County.

HPD told News 19 that the following items were recovered:

  • Prescription medication valued at $45,000+
  • $72,000+ in cash
  • Three firearms
