Ardmore restaurant set to reopen after being impacted by city water problems

ARDMORE, Ala. — Ardmore residents and businesses have been grappling with water problems since last Saturday, culminating in a boil advisory issued later in the week. The advisory instructed residents to boil their water for three minutes before consumption, significantly impacting daily life and local commerce.

The Limestone County Water and Sewer Authority attributed the issue to a “significant leak” that caused low water pressure throughout the community. Their full statement from September 2 can be found here.

Dan Holt, owner of Mildred’s Restaurant in Ardmore, said the effects have been challenging for his business. “I’ve had customers, a couple of them contact me that they drove 40 miles to come eat at Mildred’s and all of a sudden we were closed and so it has been an impact on us.”…
