HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Severe storms are expected to push across northern Alabama and southern Middle Tennessee tonight, bringing the potential for gusty winds, hail, and frequent lightning between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m.

According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, a line of storms will move from northwest to southeast through the Tennessee Valley. The highest risk for severe weather is centered over northeast Alabama and southern Middle Tennessee, including Huntsville, Fayetteville, Cullman, and surrounding areas.
