You have probably heard that the U.S. Space Command Headquarters are going to be in Huntsville, Alabama. It is anticipated to create over 30,000 jobs and significant investment in the “Rocket City” and those high income employees will be seeking a place to vacation.
The U.S. Space Command is responsible for military operations beyond Earth’s atmosphere, or about 62 miles up and higher – the internationally recognized boundary of space known as the Kármán Line. That includes defending U.S. satellites from potential threats.
The recent decision will have future impacts on the Huntsville market but the next biggest impact could be made at the beach. Not only will the center bring the estimated 30,000 employees and their families, there are all of the suppliers and meetings that will come to the State of Alabama.
