HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Federal records filed on Monday show Ewa Maria Ciszak, a Huntsville Department of Defense employee, has been indicted for unlawful removal and retention of classified materials, and is scheduled for arraignment on Oct. 23.
Ciszak, who worked at the Missile Defense Agency, faces federal charges for allegedly taking classified documents from her workplace between February and June of this year. According to Department of Justice records, investigators discovered materials marked “SECRET” in her home and vehicle after a search in June.
The indictment alleges Ciszak knowingly removed and retained classified government records without authorization, in violation of federal law.
