Man arrested after police chase ends in Decatur golf course crash

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — A man was arrested Monday after police say he led officers on a chase that ended when a stolen vehicle crashed into a pond at Point Mallard Golf Course in Decatur.

According to the Decatur Police Department, officers responded on October 6 after a citizen reported their vehicle stolen from a local business. Shortly after, patrol officers spotted the vehicle near the intersection of 4th Avenue SE and Grant Street SE.
